TODAY THE WORDS are CHANGE IS COMING TO SIPPING CUPS. As 2016 has arrived, so will changes to the blog. Since 2012, I have dedicated the blog to inspirational messages and I have been blessed to receive some heartfelt messages about one or more of the blogs touching people’s heart. There have been over 800+ posts which will still be available on COFFEE POT page. As we move into a new year, I feel I can leave the inspirational and spiritual messages to all of the great ordained ministers and those who have chosen to preach. As I am a writer and never have I felt worthy to preach or minister, I will change focus back to a more creative style and will continue my personal path in my faith.
One of the interests I was forced into learning more about is healthy eating. I am turning the focus of the blog toward healthy eating. As an ole Southern cook and baker from way back when, I want to see if I can use my time changing how we Southerners cook to a more healthier style and result.
These attempts will be on HEALTHY BITES which has already shown more interest lately than my posts on COFFEE POT. Inspiration is inspiration and we have to find sources to encourage others. I feel this is a good path for me.
For those of you who want a jog of inspiration from time to time, I will occasionally post one on COFFEE POT and will share it on various social media as I will share HEALTHY BITES on them as well.
2016 is an opportunity for us to inspire our bodies and our minds to get healthier. I will start with this tip: A Healthier Body encourages A Healthier Mind and as a result Produces A Healthier Spirit!
We have heard for many years, “We are what we eat.” So let’s get the party started by throwing out the old; bringing in the new! Some of my tips will be ones we have heard before. Some of us listened; some of us didn’t; and some of us never will!
I watched over the past month or two a group of us who wanted to share thoughts, both good and bad about our eating habits. What I observed about all of us in this group is we are humans first but it may have been the first time we were being openly honest. This is a vital step in changing our ways. First step in any program and/or lifestyle change is openly admitting our weaknesses and realizing our strengths will have to outweigh them.
Watch out! Change is coming and in a few days, the blog’s front page will be HEALTHY BITES and for all of you who want to be inspired and please, those of you who are inspiring from the changes you made……Comment on the posts! As my going away party from unhealthy foods, I cooked a feast over the holidays and even with all of this food in front of me and in the frig afterwards, I didn’t gain a pound and my glucose was not elevated by practicing one tip I will share in a future post.
Changes to our health comes from one healthy bite at a time. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL and MAY THE STEPS YOU TAKE BECOME LIGHTER AS THE YEAR HAPPENS!
