TODAY THE WORDS ARE STARTING LINE

TODAY THE WORDS are STARTING LINE. We live in a world of watching life from the finish line view. We are so involved in who finishes the race; we forget to think about the starting line’s effect on the race. Let’s think about how the race is determined from the mindset and focus from the beginning and determines the outcome. The end of our life race starts from the beginning of life. We are born into different environments and families or in other words; we have different pole positions. We may have been given to a family where we are affluent and we are given the silver spoon. Life seems to be a fantasy world, but is it really? Let’s consider the alternative before we decide. Some are born into struggling families; the money is low and demands are high. Struggles to make it work will be necessary. It will be considered a blessing to have any kind of spoon and hopefully it will contain food in it. What happens in the race of life is what the runners will bring to the starting line (or at the start of their adult life from these experiences. One runner, who may have had a seemingly easy life, may either resent having to always live up to their parents’ expectations or may want to prove they are a contender of life  and race with a fervor unmatched by others. While at the same time, the runner who has always known the struggle of life, may turn up the heat and run the race with the heart of  warrior or this runner may feel the pain of the struggle so much, the fight has drained him and he is not willing to fight any more and the race will be determined by the first step the runner makes. Life will give us what we work toward but it is up to us to determine whether we run through life determined to be the first at the finish line satisfied with our efforts, or whether at the end of life we are bewildered at how life has passed us by. LIFE IS FOR THE LIVING; LIFE IS FOR THE GIVING; AND LIFE CAN GIVE YOU LOVE.
