HAPPY HEAVENLY BIRTHDAY TO MOMMA
BEATRICE HOLT HUTCHINSON FROM ALL OF US WHO LOVE YOU!
TODAY IT is ALL ABOUT MISS BEA. Some of you never met our Mom, known affectionately by her nieces and nephews as Aunt Bea; her grandchildren who some of them called her MaMa BeBe while my daughter called her MaMa. Today, if she was not having blissful eternity in Heaven; she would have celebrated her 89th birthday. I think it is a little funny my Sister spells it Mama and I have always written Momma, but either way, this little lady had a lot of spunk. For those of you reading this and knew her, this is not news to any of you. Momma married at the young age of 16 but did not start having us pack of young’uns until she was 20 and in June before she turned 25 in September, she had me, the last of 4 children. Did I mention once she got the hang of something she was pretty quick to catch on? Now, I have the utmost respect for her, and I have loved her all of my life and will continue to love her. Since she had such a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and enjoy people, she will be okay with me telling a few funnies on her. I have gotten all sentimental on former posts but this year I thought I would share some cute moments in the life of Miss Bea. When Greg and I would visit her; she would say to Greg, “Now Greg, don’t do this now; but when you get up could you do this or that?” and it would be whatever needed to be done. She knew Greg like the back of her hand and he would jump up and in the sheepish voice she would say, “I didn’t mean for him to do it now.” Now, Momma was a pretty smart lady and I might have bought that the first time, but year after year she would say the same thing and he would do it all for her. Miss Bea could tell you where a certain letter was in a stack like the fourth one down and sure enough it was there. She could get so tickled. My car has the navigation and when I was driving Miss Bea to the cardiologist in Jacksonville, I missed a quick exit and the female voice said, “Make the first legal U turn” and as long as I live, I will never forget Momma bending over in the seat, giggling and then she said, “She knows you missed the turn, how about that!” She knew how to laugh, she knew how to love, she knew how to give, she knew how to scold. What a combination for a Mother. In life, live life, love life and live life to the fullest. I am sure she is laughing and loving in Heaven, so we wish you a Happy Heavenly 89th birthday to the most precious Mother we could have had. Hey Mom, I heard you never grow old in Heaven so we can be twins when I get there!
